The graphic motif on this vintage beaded black and white top reads ‘we are one, we are together, we are on a mission’. I replaced the sleeves with reclaimed blue tie dye ones carefully cut from a sweatshirt and enhanced the overall look with a garden of beautiful roses cut from a dress. The brilliant red embroidery thread pulls all the elements together.

It was hand-embroidered by Luz Marina Osorio during 11 hours of craftwomanship in Medellin, Colombia.
